What we collect

Checking an address is anonymous: the search runs in your browser against public property records, and we don't save the addresses you look up.

If you choose to start an appeal, we save the details you enter (name, email, optional phone), the home you checked and its estimated savings. We use them only to prepare your appeal and contact you about it. We don't sell or share them, except with the town as part of filing your appeal once you've signed the authorization.

Where it's stored

Sign-up details are stored in a database run by Supabase in the United States. To have your details deleted, reply to any email from us and ask.

Visit statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits and how many address checks are run. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify individual visitors.

Where the property data comes from

Public records from the New York State Office of Real Property Tax Services (assessment rolls and property sales reports) and the NYS GIS tax parcel service.

Changes

If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page first.
